How it all began...
Flowing Energy
About Us: In the summer of 2006, a few aquarium geeks near Doylestown got together and started experimenting with clean, flowing designs in their aquariums. After several different attempts, they discovered that by integrating Feng Shui into the layout of the aquarium design, they were able to create some stunning aquascapes.
Feng shui has to do with the balance of space and the natural flow of energy within that space. It was in that first year that we discovered that by placing rocks a certain way, we were able to transform a bland looking fish tank into a stunning aquarium. People started to notice and they were always amazed by seemingly simple, small changes made to their layout that transformed the space. The fish, incidentally also seemed happier as a result of flowing energy within their homes.
It was at this time that the idea for Aquarium Design Studios was born.
Aquarium Design Studios specializes in large custom aquarium installation, aquarium design and ongoing aquarium maintenance. The majority of our maintenance clients prefer to have their aquariums serviced weekly or every other week to ensure the health of the ecosystem. Changes to water chemistry are much more immediate in smaller aquariums and as such they can be harder to maintain. The majority of the aquariums that we maintain are 250 gallons or larger.
